ORIGINAL STORY | Manatee County deputies are searching for a 69-year-old Bradenton man who was last seen in the downtown area Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities believe Newell was seen in downtown Bradenton mid-afternoon. He has not been seen since.
Newell is described as a black man, who is 5-foot-7, 160 pounds and has salt and pepper colored short hair. He was last seen wearing a grey army shirt and grey camouflage pants with sneakers and a prayer bead necklace.
While Newell left the residence where he lives on foot, he is comfortable using the public bus system for local transportation and trips to St. Petersburg.
Deputies are asking anyone with information about Newell's whereabouts to contact the Manatee County Sheriff's Office or dial 911.
