Detectives with the St. Petersburg Police Department are investigating an early morning homicide on 49th Street South, authorities said.
George Hall, 37, was found in his car in the 1800 block of 49th Street South with gunshot wounds to the upper body, St. Petersburg police reports.
At about 2:30 a.m. Saturday the St. Petersburg Police Department received a call in reference to a shooting on 49th Street South. When officers arrived, they found Hall in his vehicle.
Paramedics took Hall to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he was pronounced dead at 3:20 a.m., a police report said.
Detectives are on the scene gathering evidence in an attempt to determine who pulled the trigger.
