Tampa police are investigating a pedestrian hit and run accident on Himes Avenue late Saturday night.
A man, whose name has not been released, was found sprawled on Himes Avenue north of Hillsborough Avenue about 11 p.m. Saturday, a Tampa police official said. The motorist who hit the pedestrian fled the scene.
The victim was taken to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition as a trauma alert.
No information has been released about the vehicle involved.
