As we shop for produce this summer, you may want to buy from multiple locations, including farmers markets. Be aware of fruits and vegetables that require sanitization before consumption.

Dirtiest:

  • Peaches & nectarines
  • Apples
  • Bell peppers
  • Celery
  • Berries (strawberries and blueberries)
  • Pears
  • Grapes
  • Spinach

Cleanest:

  • Asparagus
  • Avocado
  • Cabbage
  • Cantaloupe
  • Grapefruit
  • Kiwi
  • Onions
  • Watermelon
  • Corn
  • Peas
