“Gram’s” Cranberry Relish
Ingredients
¾ cups plus 1 T of sugar
1 cup hot water
12 oz fresh cranberries
1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored and medium dice
1/8 t cinnamon
Method of preparation
- Dissolve sugar in water over low heat.
- Add cranberries and apples, simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
- Once cranberries have “popped”, stir in cinnamon, and remove from heat.
- Relish will thicken as it cools.
- Enjoy!
