Interior designer Jay Rosenberg offers tips on how to add affordable fall flare for less than $100.

Among the hot trends this year are mason jars, lanterns and gold accents, said Rosenberg, owner of Designs by Jay.

He also advices mixing new and old decor to add fall touches to pieces you already have.

"Use current plates, just switch out place mats and napkins to fall colors," Rosenberg said in a statement. "Use twine thread to tie a fall leaf around candles, glasses, wine bottles, etc."

He adds that place mats, napkins, candles, centerpieces can easily, quickly and inexpensively be changed out to add winter colors.
