UPDATE | A man wanted on a second degree murder warrant, who barricaded himself in a Temple Terrace home Thursday morning, has surrendered peacefully, officials said.

The suspect has been identified as Raul "Casper" Rodriguez Jr. He was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail for booking.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said deputies were seeking Rodriguez Jr. in connection to a murder that occurred in Wimauma Dec. 23.

Deputies said Rodriguez Jr. was responsible for the shooting death of Jose Rodriguez during an altercation at a house in Wimauma in December.  Although both men's last name is Rodriguez, no information was provided about whether they were related.

Hillsborough County sheriff's Col. Chad Chronister held a media briefing when the SWAT standoff ended about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
