Girl, 16, shot during home invasion in Holiday

A home invasion in Holiday early Thursday ended with a 16-year-old girl being accidentally shot by another resident, deputies said.

Three men entered the house in the 3300 block of Garfield Drive shortly after 1 a.m.

Sometime during the incident, one of the residents at the house accidentally shot the 16-year-old, who also lives there. She was struck in the shoulder and is in serious condition.

No information was revealed about the relationship between the shooter and the victim.

After the incident, the three men were last seen running from the house.

Deputies called in K-9 units to try go locate the men without success.
