A 75-year-old woman died when she was hit by a pickup truck on State Road 574 in the Sabal Park area Saturday night, officials said.
The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of next of kin, was walking northbound across SR 574 near Coconut Palm Drive about 7:15 p.m. Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said. She stepped into the path of a 2014 Ford F-250 driven by James Hrybinczak, 53, of St. Petersburg, heading west on SR 574.
The woman sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Hrybinczak was uninjured.
