A Hillsborough County Patrol deputy was responding to an area on I-75 NB due to materials in the roadway. When the deputy stopped, he put on his emergency lights and worked to clear the roadway.
While the deputy was clearing the road, a female driver struck his patrol car from behind.
The deputy was not injured in the crash. The female driver was transported to Brandon Hospital complaining of wrist pain.
Expect delays in the area due to the crash investigation. Use 301 to head north.
Deputies say two lanes of traffic are shut down and are expected to be for several hours.
