Deputies search for man who reportedly stabbed his former roommate in Lake Placid

The Highlands County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a man who is suspected of stabbing his former roommate on Saturday in Lake Placid. 

Deputies responded to Florida Hospital Lake Placid at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. They interviewed the 54-year-old victim who told them David Neiderman, 35, had returned to the victim's home on Pinetop Terrace and used a long knife to break in the back door of the home. The victim says Neiderman attacked him and stabbed him multiple times in the head and neck. The victim was transported to a trauma center for further treatment. 

Deputies describe Neiderman as 6'1", 220 pounds and blue eyes.
