Two thieves put in a lot of work to steal from the Best Buy store in Wesley Chapel on Monday, July 4.

Surveillance video shows two people in the bushes out front of the store causing damage to the front wall. However, their first attempts at breaking into the store on Wesley Grove Blvd failed.

The thieves successfully created a hole large enough to climb through on the back side of the store.

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies spent the morning investigating the theft, which they say included "various Apple brand devices."

According to deputies, the burglars worked to break into the store between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. and were inside the store between 3:58 a.m. and 4:09 a.m. and fled after that.

While inside the store, the burglars "were observed" scaling the shelving to a locked case which held the merchandise they were looking to steal. Presumably the thieves were observed by camera, but deputies and the store manager would not elaborate.

The property does have a security company monitor the area overnight, but it appears no one was working this weekend because it's a holiday. There were also no surveillance cameras on the back side of the store, which means deputies don't have a good description of their suspects.

A deputy also tells ABC Action News that it is difficult to see what tools are being used because the thieves did a good job of hiding while working in the front of the building.
