A major Bay Area road is listed as one of the most dangerous in the nation.

Geotab, an online fleet company, took data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Federal Highway Administration to narrow down the 10 deadliest roads.

US 41 comes in second place with more than 700 deadly accidents in the last decade.

US 1, on Florida's east coast took the top spot with more than 1,000 deaths.

Chris Necker isn't surprised by the numbers.

"Surprise me no," he said,  "Florida drivers are crazy." Report

While the site doesn't list specific areas of where accidents occur most on the roads, however, according to data from the Florida Integrated Report Exchange System, areas like the intersection between US 41 and the Causeway Blvd. have some of the most accidents around the Bay, the majority occurring between 3 and 4 in the afternoon.

"We gotta take care of each other and pay attention," said Necker

FDOT is currently studying a more than 10 mile stretch of US 41 from Manatee Co. to

Hillsborough to determine whether they should widen the road from four lanes to six as well as add any other improvements.
