A rope of schoolchildren and parents are stretched along the promenade inside Westfield Citrus Park Mall today.
They have gathered in anticipation of the start of the Back 2 School Bash at 10 a.m. at 8021 Citrus Park Town Center Mall in Citrus Park. The event ends at 3 p.m. today.
There will be a free backpack for participants who play a scavenger hunt at the mall.
This year the event is for all schoolchildren, including those with special needs.
If you miss today's event, you can catch another Back 2 School Bash from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Westfield Countryside, 27001 U.S. 19 N. in Clearwater.
