Missing 9-year-old Cape Coral boy found safe after disappearing from soccer practice

UPDATE:

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled its Missing Child Alert for Jeremias Lopez-Domingo at 2:40 a.m. after the 9-year-old boy was located safe and sound.

PREVIOUS STORY:

Police report a 9-year-old boy went missing Tuesday afternoon after he went to use the restroom at soccer practice and never returned.

Jeremias Lopez-Domingo is approximately 5’4”, 110 lbs with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a neon green and yellow soccer jersey with the #12 on the back, black shorts, and black soccer cleats with orange heels.

Detectives say that Jeremias may appear to be about 14 years old, as his birth certificate may be inaccurate.

He was last seen at the Cape Coral Space Complex off Trafalgar Parkway on Tuesday around 7:45 p.m. and there have been reported sighting of him in the area on Wednesday.

Police are searching the area with aviation and K-9.

According to Cape Coral Police, Jeremias speaks only Spanish and has no known relatives in the area.
