Sandbag materials will be available to residents as the Tampa Bay area preps for heavy rain.
Tropical moisture will begin to move across the area this weekend, bringing with it chances for as much as 4 to 5 inches of rain Monday and Tuesday.
Certain areas could receive more, and there’s even a chance the weather could become a tropical storm or depression.
Here’s where you can pick up sandbags:
CITRUS COUNTY
You can pick up sandbags from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday and all day starting at 7 a.m. on Monday at the following locations:

- City of Crystal River Fire Station, off US 19, 650 NW 3rd Ave.
GULFPORT
Sandbags will be available at the following location from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday. There is a 10-bag limit and proof of residency may be required.
- Gulfport City Hall, 2401 53rd St. S.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY
You can also pick up sandbags from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday at the following locations (Please be aware residents should bring shovels. Each resident must sign their name and provide their home address acknowledging the receipt of 25 sandbags or less.):

Sandbags will be available at the following locations from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday. There is a 10-bag limit.
