One year ago, we told you about a Sulphur Springs dog found tied to railroad tracks with two gunshot wounds.
The images of an officer finding and saving the dog went viral across the world.
Since that day, we have followed Cabela's story.
We met up with Cabela on Friday to see how she has recovered from the gunshot wounds to the neck and leg.
Cabela, has more energy than ever and has made a 100% recovery.
The two year old dog was saved by veterinarians at Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Service.
"She's got four legs, she runs, she plays, she jumps, she sleeps," said Steven Pahl with the clinic, "She's just a regular dog that would be a joy for anybody to own."
Pahl said Cabela has found a permanent home with one of the vet technicians who helped save her.
Those involved in Cabela's abuse case were eventually sentenced last year.
