Rachel Yoshida, a Tampa resident, posted the photo of her family's Christmas card on Imgur and Reddit on Tuesday. She racked up more than 2 million views in a day and the popularity of the irreverent photo continues to grow.
Rachel's sister, Natalie, came up with the idea. She told Buzzfeed that she didn't expect her family to "be so willing" but they were, and they're now Internet famous. "My mom agreed immediately," she said. "My dad never actually agreed or disagreed. He's a great sport."
Some people - like an Orlando Weekly writer and online commentors - have called the photo "creepy," but that doesn't seem to bother the Yoshida family. "Not one person who knows us in real life has ‘hated’. Everyone who is ‘hating’ is seeking offense in an obvious joke," Natalie told Buzzfeed.
I made the mistake of posting my family photo onto Reddit and now it's everywhere help
