The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deputy-involved shooting.
It happened near 11010 Streamside Drive in the Carrollwood area around 2:45 p.m.
A lieutenant from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said a woman called 911 to report a domestic dispute. She advised 911 operators that the 21-year-old suspect had a gun.
When deputies arrived they found the man with his back turned towards them. Investigators said the deputies demanded he turn around multiple times and he did not comply.
The suspect eventually turned around and quickly began shooting at deputies.
They returned fire and stuck him in the leg.
