StreetsBlog USA is holding an online contest trying to find the most improved city in the country when it comes to developing old land used for parking.
Tampa is facing off against Albuquerque, N.M. in the first round.
In Tampa, it's all eyes on the plans for Water Street. The development will replace 16 blocks of parking lots and make downtown more walkable. Apartments, condos and green space is also being added.
Albuquerque turned a parking lot into an affordable housing complex.
