TAMPA, Fla. — The Gasparilla Distance Classic will cause some traffic headaches throughout downtown Tampa this weekend.
There are a number of road closures starting on Saturday morning, but city officials also expect heavy traffic.
The road races will be Saturday, Feb. 23 and Sunday, Feb. 24.
- Friday, Feb. 22 the Health and Fitness Expo begins at 10 a.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 23 the expo begins at 6 a.m. with races to start at 6:40 a.m. Road closures will end around 1 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 24 the races will begin at 5:55 a.m. and road closures are expected to end at 11:30 a.m.
