Hillsborough County Deputies arrested a 25-year-old man for breaking into the home of a 73-year-old woman and sexually battering her.
Deputies say Jose Maldonado committed the crime in October of 2015.
They arrested him Wednesday, April 26 saying his DNA matched the DNA gathered at the crime scene.
Maldonado's DNA was on file as part of a judgment from a previous sex assault case involving a minor, although Maldonado was only convicted of child abuse in that case.
