MANATEE CO, Fla- — Police are looking for a man they say has been pulling over cars and impersonating an officer.
On December 14, 2020, around 6:30 a.m. an unidentified man pulled over a driver near the 8000 block of 15th St E, Sarasota.
The suspect is described as a black male, 40-50 years of age, possibly wearing eyeglasses, and armed with a handgun. The vehicle is described as a light blue newer model Ford Explorer with security lettering on the driver's side door. It has Tampa Bay Buccaneer's flags on front door displays and a wheelchair rack on the back of the vehicle.
The vehicle has red and blue lights on the dash. Police say given the victim’s direction of travel, the suspect probably came from the Sarasota area.
