The body of country singer Craig Strickland, who has been missing for over a week, has been found by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Lt. Kera Philippi sent out a press release Monday, writing that the department had "made recovery of the body of Craig M. Strickland this morning."
"Strickland and his friend, Chase R. Morland were both reported missing on Sunday, December 27, 2015, while on a duck hunt at Kaw Lake in Kay County, Oklahoma. Strickland’s body was located within the original search area known as Bear Creek Cove," the release added.
The family of the singer, 29, has been notified, Philippi wrote and added that more information "will be released when a full update is provided."
Strickland and Morland, 22, went out hunting late last month in northern Oklahoma in the middle of a storm. Morland's body was discovered last week, while Strickland remained missing until today.
Morland tweeted just before going out with his friend, writing, "In case we don't come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm."
Strickland's wife Helen has been vocal on social media, updating friends and family on the continuing search for her husband.
"#CraigStrickland was found today. He is safe with his Father in Heaven. Thank you Lord for leading us to him today. I will praise you, Amen," she wrote.
