It was just before midnight when a Tampa Bay couple allegedly harmed a female manager and two security guards.

Kenneth Bailey, 37, and Melissa Smith, 27, were at Shephard's Beach Resort on Monday night when Rosemary Colon, a manager at the resort, decided to have Bailey - Smith's boyfriend - removed from the bar area, according to a Clearwater Police arrest affidavit.

The affidavit does not specify the reason for the removal, but after Colon escorted the couple off the property, Bailey turned around and punched a security guard, Rhett Rasmussen. The same punch also hit Colon.

Rasmussen suffered a bloody nose.

Smith then jumped onto the back of another security guard, Scott Mualler, and scratched his face. He received several lacerations. Colon tried to stop Smith, but the 27-year-old then hit the manager with her hand.

Colon had a scratch to her face and her glasses were broken.

Bailey was arrested that night for two counts of felony battery. Smith was arrested for two counts of simple battery.
