Right now, Chick-Fil-A is doing something all moms can get behind.
The Lakeland location launched a new service that makes eating out with young kids a little easier.
It’s called Mom’s Valet.
But it’s not just for moms; any parent wanting to eat inside can order and pay in the drive-thru first, park, then when they come inside, the table is ready with highchairs if needed.
“Who does that? You can't even go to a restaurant and get it that fast and easy. I thought he was a genius with that idea,” said Jen Overholt, a mom of seven.
Franchise owner Scott Brickhouse came up with the idea as a solution to his own problem.
“I have four boys. They are great boys, but when mom is not around, it can be challenging,” said Brickhouse.
As soon as other locations heard about it, they followed suit.
“We probably have 100 guys out of the chain, upwards of 2,000 that are doing (this),” said Brickhouse.
And the service is getting easier. Parents can now skip the drive-thru and order through the Chick-Fil-A app if they want. Just make sure to mention Mom’s Valet in the notes.
Although it makes dining hassle-free, moms say it won’t solve every issue.
“I will still have crying, but it won't be over the food delivery,” said Overholt.
And for the record, we asked -- Chick-Fil-A still doesn’t plan on opening on Sundays anytime soon.
