A Daytona Beach police report says Laye was getting gas with her 6-month-old dog Luna when a man and woman approached her and asked for a ride.
It says Laye agreed and drove the two to several locations before pulling over and telling them to get out.
Laye told police that the man, who was in the back seat, then used a dog leash to choke her. It says they then pulled Laye out of her car and took off with Luna.
