Woman's moving nightmare serves as warning

Posted

Looking back, Jessica wishes she would have researched the moving company. Moving day proved to be one of her worst ever.

Jessica says 'Your Best Move' damaged multiple pieces of furniture. And at one point, she claims to have spotted one of the men smoking marijuana.

The final straw came when Jessica says the guys drove away in the truck with some of her belongings still on board.

The company responded to our questions with this statement: "I can only describe this complaint as delusional...we  took almost 300.00 dollars off your bill....no matter how hard we tried there was no pleasing you."

In five minutes, we found more than 30 complaints against Your Best Move with state regulators and the Better Business Bureau. The majority related to service issues.

St. Petersburg Remax Realtor Derrick Silvers says he advises his clients to ask many questions.

Meanwhile Jessica hopes her story serves as a warning to others.

Jessica filed a dispute with her credit card and they refunded the 500 dollars she paid the movers. It takes just minutes to check with the state and the BBB. Here are the links. 800helpfla.com and www.BBB.org.
