Frito-Lay is voluntarily recalling select kinds of kettle cooked chips. The company is recalling Jalapeno flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeno flavored Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked potato chips.
They are recalling the product for possible Salmonella presence in the seasoning.
The product covered in the recall was sold nationwide.
No illnesses have been reported in relation to this recall.
All sizes of the two products with a “guaranteed fresh” date of JUL 4 or prior are recalled.
The following multipacks of the chips with a “use by” date of JUN 20 or prior and a “guaranteed fresh” date of JUL 4 or prior are part of the recall as well:
- 12 count Lay’s Kettle Cooked Multipack Sack
- 20 count Frito-Lay Bold Mix Sack
- 30 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Tray
- 30 count Lay’s Kettle Cooked Multipack Tray
- 32 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Box
Consumers that have purchased the product are advised not to eat them.
