The anesthetic packaging is not child resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The product contains lidocaine which poses a risk of poisoning to young children, according to the recall.

The product was sold at Biotouch online and in stores, as well as beauty suppliers and tattoo salons nationwide. It was also sold online at Amazon, Walmart, Ebay and Jet between August 2013 and August 2018 for around $60.
