If you're not already busy with fall sports practices, hayrack rides or pumpkin-related festivities, we've got a fun idea for next Saturday. Home Depot is hosting yet another ridiculously fun and completely free workshop for kids this month. On Saturday, Oct. 7, your kids can build a coin bank that's shaped like a fire station. This event runs from 9 a.m. to noon. After they build the coin bank, they'll get to decorate it with paint and stickers. Plus, they get to take it home afterward! A morning of free entertainment AND a piggy bank? Count us in! Your child will also get a certificate of achievement, a commemorative pin and a workshop apron. You can register for the event by visiting the Home Depot website. Plus, this is the perfect opportunity to talk with your kids about the power of saving money. Not to suck the fun out of this workshop, but it could be a good segway for encouraging them to save their pennies!
