TAMPA, Fla. — If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend (September 20-22), there's plenty of action happening around the Tampa Bay area.

Friday, September 20

Grown Up Night at Glazer Children’s Museum
When: 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Where: Glazer Children’s Museum at 110 W Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa
Cost: $20 ($25 at the door)
Info: Grown ups take over the museum to climb, jump, and build in GCM Exhibits! Admission includes free snacks and beer by Florida Avenue Brewing until it’s gone and a cash bar is available. Play like a kid again with classic games and innovative challenges! This event is 21 and up.

Flavors of Asia Food Truck and Craft Beer Fest
When: 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Where: Straub Park at 400 Bayshore Drive NE, St. Pete
Cost: FREE
Info: All of the food trucks will serve up Asian-inspired dishes as well as offering their normal cuisine. Enjoy craft vendors and a musical performance by Tampa Taiko. Cash and credit cards are accepted at all trucks. Picnic chairs, blankets and pets are welcome!

Grease 2 (1982)
When: 10:30 p.m.
Where: Tampa Theatre at 711 N Franklin St, Tampa
Cost: $8 ($5 for Tampa Theatre members)
Info: Catch the sequel to one of the most successful and highest-grossing films of its day as part of Tampa Theatre’s REWIND series. Doors open at 10 p.m.

Corey Holcomb Comedy Show
When: September 20-22
Where: Improv Comedy Theatre at 1600 East 8th Ave C-112, Tampa
Cost: $25
Info: Corey Holcomb’s comedy set is both an auditory and visual experience. His facial gestures alone can make an audience burst with laughter. Corey’s film and television credits include Wild ‘n Out, Last Comic Standing, Like Mike, Def Comedy Jam, It’s Showtime at the Apollo, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, Rickey Smiley Show and he plays the recurring character Robert Tubbs on The Cleveland Show. There will be five showings; all but one is for people 21 and older.

Tampa Bay Times Boat Show
When: September 20-22
Where: Florida State Fairgrounds at 4800 US Hwy 301 North, Tampa
Cost: $8/car, $14/RV or bus
Info: Ahoy Mates! This is the boating sales event of the season. Chart your course to the Tampa Bay Boat Show. This grand event showcases area boat dealers and manufacturers, the latest in boating and fishing supplies. You won't believe the selection of boats on display from large to small...too many makes and models to list them all!

Howl-O-Scream
When: September 20 - November 2
Where: Busch Gardens at 3000 E Busch Blvd, Tampa
Cost: $39.99
Info: Take on terrifying haunted houses and roaming hordes at Howl-O-Scream. This year will unearth long-buried icons of the past and new nightmares as Busch Gardens Tampa Bay celebrates “20 Years of Fear” with sinister surprises at every turn.


Saturday, September 21

Apollo Beach Nature Preserve Clean Up
When: 7:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Where: 6760 Surfside Blvd, Apollo Beach
Cost: FREE
Info: Join The Florida Aquarium in conjunction with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful for their Hillsborough River and Coastal Cleanup! They will be collecting debris and trash along the beautiful waterfront at Apollo Beach Nature Preserve. You can register for the event here.

GS Fest 2019
When: 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Where: Florida State Fairgrounds at 4800 US Hwy 301 North, Tampa
Cost: Adults $10, kids $15
Info: This annual event kicks off the Girl Scout year! You'll have the chance to take part in activities that span the four program pillars—entrepreneurship, life skills, outdoor and STEM. Plus, there will be special activities just for older girls (grades 6-12). GS Fest is open to everyone so bring your family, friends and neighbors and come enjoy the fun. Parking is $8 and girls attending this event will receive a fun patch.

Bucs Beach Bash
When: 11 a.m. - 9:45 p.m.
Where: TradeWinds Island Resorts at 5500 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach
Cost: FREE
Info: Come party on the beach at the Bucs Beach Bash! As part of the NFL 100 Fantennial Weekend, the Buccaneers are bringing the fun with live music from Billy Ray Cyrus, Parmalee and local bands and DJs! Play games and participate in activities throughout the day, including special contests and prize giveaways. You can even meet Buccaneers alumni, cheerleaders and Captain Fear! Once the music stops, end the night with a breathtaking firework display on the beach!

Float in Movie: Hocus Pocus

Info: Enjoy Hocus Pocus poolside with your favorite pool float or noodle. Games and trivia prior to the movie. Movie begins at dark and concessions will be available from Boy Scouts Troop 10. Children 2 and under get in free.
