Friday, May 4

Tampa Riverfest

When: May 4-5
Where: Curtis Hixon Park at 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa

Info: It’s time for the fourth annual celebration of Tampa’s Riverwalk! With the Wiener Dog Derby, Mac n’ Cheese Throwdown, Hot Air Balloon Glow, live music and Taste of the Riverwalk, the 2018 Tampa Riverfest will certainly deliver the sights and sounds of downtown Tampa.

 

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Toronto Blue Jays

When: May 4-6
Where: Tropicana Field at 1 Tropicana Drive, St. Petersburg

Info: Come watch the Tampa Bay Rays host the Toronto Blue Jays for a weekend series at Tropicana Field! First pitch is Friday at 7:10 p.m. Saturday’s game begins at 6:10 p.m. and Sunday’s matchup kicks off at 1:10 p.m. 

Tampa Bay Lightning Playoff Watch Party at Tampa Riverfest

When: 4 p.m. 
Where: Curtis Hixon Park at 600 N Ashley Drive, Tampa

Info: Friday’s Game 4 watch party, which is part of Tampa Riverfest 2018, will start at 4 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. Enjoy food trucks and beer tents before and during the game. The puck will drop at 7 p.m.

Gulfport Art Walk

When: 4 p.m. 
Where: 3007 Beach Boulevard South, Gulfport

Info: Observe and purchase from talented independent artists at work all along Beach & Shore Boulevards, as well as the works of local authors and entertainers stretched over a half-mile up and down scenic Beach Boulevard. Visitors can view the stars through St. Pete Astronomy Club’s state of the art telescopes, weather permitting, every first Friday. While browsing the art and craft booths, don’t miss Gulfport’s unique shops, boutiques and galleries. Enjoy dinner at one of over a dozen fine restaurants within the Art District, now one of the foremost dining destinations in the Bay Area. Parking is always free and free trolley rides are available from off-site parking areas.

The Derby Party at Cask Social

Kris Kristofferson at Capitol Theatre
