Friday, May 25

Tampa Bay Rays vs. Baltimore Orioles

Info: The Tampa Bay Rays will host the Baltimore Orioles for a 3-game weekend series at Tropicana Field! First pitch is Friday night at 7:10 p.m.

The Florida Orchestra - Patriotic Salute

When: 8 p.m.
Where: Carol Morsani Hall at 1010 N W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa

97X BBQ Music and Arts Festival

Info: The biggest show of the summer returns! The 97X BBQ Music & Arts Festival runs Saturday at beautiful Vinoy Park in downtown St. Petersburg. The stage will feature Dirty Heads, Awolnation, Judah & The Lion, AJR and many more. It’s a full day of music, plus, this year the festival will celebrate the arts with art exhibits, live demonstrations, art vendors and more. 

Tampa Bay Margarita Festival (Canceled Sunday)

Info: The St. Armands Seafood and Music Festival will offer delectable seafood dishes and talented local music performances on both Saturday and Sunday! Come explore the Museum with lights and sounds turned down and sensory adapted tools, special programs, and community resources at your fingertips. It’s during this time that children and their families can experience the Museum and unite with others on a similar journey.

Tampa Ballet Center Spring Concert

When: 3 p.m. 
Where: USF College of the Arts at 4204 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa

Info: The Tampa Ballet Center will be presenting its Spring Concert at the USF College of the Arts, USF Theatre 1. Dance fans will enjoy excerpts from Diana and Acteon, Le Corsaire and Talisman, as well as original works by TBC Director Robin Pollara, RDE. Several pieces are dedicated to the late Josette Manougian, the founder of TBC. Dancing in her honor, TBC continues to share the art of classical dance with the Tampa Bay community by uniquely offering performance opportunities to current and up-and-coming dance professionals. Purchase tickets at the theater on show day. Cash or check only. Tickets are $20 and children under six attend for free.

Memorial Day Weekend at the Aquarium

Info: Honoring our military heroes from sea to shining sea! All active duty, veteran, retired or drilling reservist or National Guardsmen will receive two free tickets for Memorial Day weekend! Dependent and up to four guests can also get a special $10 per person Aquarium admission price. So come visit the aquarium and get closer than you ever thought to more than 7,000 amazing creatures. 

American Flags: The Stars and Stripes in American History and Culture

When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. 
Where: 801 Old Water Street, Tampa
Cost: $28.95
Info: Based on one of the preeminent collections of American flags in the world, "The Stars and Stripes in American History and Culture" features textiles, artwork and memorabilia exploring the history and context of the American flag. The exhibit features original flags dating to the 1790s, a 27-star flag marking Florida’s admission into the Union, while works from American pop artists Andy Warhol and Jasper Johns are also included. Johns’ Flag (1954) and Warhol’s Moonwalk (1987) illustrate the American Flags place in popular culture, while photography from the 1960s and September 11, 2001 illustrate the symbolic power of the Stars and Stripes.
