TAMPA, Fla. —Eat. Vibe. Flourish. 7th + Grove in Ybor is the place to go for southern cuisine, good music and great company.

The restaurant opened in July 2019 by the three owners, Dr. Jamaris Glenn, Dr. Vondalyn Crawford and Khalilaa McDuffie—all Tampa natives.

“We wanted a space that really promoted diversity, and what a better place than Ybor,” said Glenn.

Guests are encouraged to grab a drink, kick back in the lounge and enjoy a delicious meal. Most of the menu items are named after songs, like “The Rude Boy” (slowly braised oxtails with sage mash potatoes) and “Gold Digger” (pan seared or fried crab cakes served with orange sauce).

As far as cocktails go, the Grove-Made Layered Sangria is a must—it features Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice, orange juice, Triple Sec, Peach Schnapps and red wine in a tasty green, yellow and red layered masterpiece.

On the weekends, enjoy DJs at night and brunch during the day. There are constantly new events happening at 7th + Grove; click here to see what’s coming up.

Ultimately, the restaurant is all about the community. “We really wanted to create a space that was welcoming, that was inclusive, and that was full of love,” said Glenn. “And we really hope that when you come to 7th and Grove, you feel that.”

7th + Grove is located at 1930 E 7th Ave in Tampa and is open Wednesday to Sunday. To learn more about the restaurant, check out the Facebook page.
