Every Friday ABC Action News puts a special spotlight on a dog or cat that needs a home in our Pet of the Week segment.

This week we are featuring two dogs needing someone willing to take them home together.

Meet Rex and Foxy. These two little sweeties are a bonded pair. Foxy gets extremely sad if she is not with her Rex.

Foxy is a six-and-a-half-year-old female Corgi mix. She weighs 18 pounds. Shelter workers say Foxy is a very intelligent dog who would do best in a home without young children.

Her "paw-tner in crime" is Rex, a 13 lb., 2-year-old Jack Russell mix. He loves receiving attention from people and other dogs. Rex would love nothing better than to go home with a family wanting to play with him.

For more information about how to adopt Rex and Foxy or other adoptable animals at Pet Pal Animal Shelter, you can call them (727) 328-7738 or go online to www.petpalanimalshelter.com.

Pet Pal Animal Shelter is located at 405 22nd Street South Street in St. Petersburg. You can visit all their dogs and cats up for adoption Tuesdays to Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 to 4:30 p.m.
