ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Every Friday ABC Action News features an adoptable pet from local animals shelters in our weekly Pet of the Week feature.

This week we are Riley from Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg. She is a 6-year-old Catahoula Leopard mix.

According to VetStreet, Catahoula Leopards are the official dog of Louisiana. Around their family, they are gentle and loyal dogs They need plenty of human companionship and would do best with in a home with a securely fenced yard.

Shelter workers report Riley is done with her life of puppy raising. All she wants now is to be someone's baby.

Riley is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.

Pet Pal Animal Shelter is located at 405 22nd Street South Street in St. Petersburg. You can visit all their dogs and cats up for adoption Tuesdays to Fridays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 to 4:30 p.m.
