You can call him Chowder or Chowda. He just hopes you will call him your own.

This week's pet of the week comes from Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg. Chowder is a one-and-a-half-year-old terrier mix. He does not care if you call him with a New England accent as long as there is a treat and a kiss at the other end.

How could anyone not smile looking at his cute face?

Chowder is a happy go-lucky guy who loves other dogs, however he requires a meet-and-greet before playing with them.

Shelter workers report Chowder is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200.
