The Florida State Fair wants you to help decide which new burger should be added to the fair menu in 2016.
Four burgers are in the running to be declared the People's Choice Burger. The Fair is hosting a competition on their website where you can choose your favorite. The burger receiving the most votes will appear on the 2016 fair menu.
Voting for the 2nd Annual People's Choice Burger Award started on Wednesday, January 20 and ends on January 27 at www.FloridaStateFair.com.
Here are the entries:
- French Toast Burger: Breakfast lovers will want to favorite this fresh burger patty topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, sandwiched between slices of homemade French Toast and drizzled with a special sauce.
- Ice Cream Burger: A meal and dessert all in one tasty concoction. Take a cheeseburger, top it with bacon, tomato, onion and pickle, and then add the pièce de résistance – a coated scoop of Mexican-style fried ice cream.
- Redneck Burger: You won’t go hungry after enjoying this requested burger. Take a fresh burger patty, top it with bacon & cheese, slide it on piece of fried bologna, then add baked beans, potato sticks, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle, all on a toasted bun.
- Bacon Bomb Explosion Burger: A bacon lover’s delight! Fresh ground chuck is seasoned with ranch, BBQ sauce and a special seasoning. After the addition of some bacon crumbles, the meat is wrapped in a lattice of fresh bacon and slow roasted with hickory smoke until golden brown, then sliced into patties. This mouthful of a burger is served on a Kaiser roll with a slice of cheese and a few more strips of bacon – if you can handle it. Add lettuce tomato, onion and pickles. Regardless of the voting, this bacon bomb will be among the fare offered this year.
