A Tampa Bay area comedian and designer took a pie to the face Saturday morning to raise awareness about pet adoptions.
Rhonda Shear said she has adopted three dogs from local shelters and she believes families looking for a pet this Christmas should look at adopting.
Shear and a group of friends along with ABC Action News reporter Jake Peterson all took a pie to the face in an effort to raise awareness about pet adoptions. Shear said she wants other to do the same and post their videos on social media using #piedforpets.
"This could be similar to the ice-bucket challenge, this is really important, so pie somebody you love," said Shear.
