Star Wars Day 2017 is here, a day when fans of the hit franchise come together to celebrate May the 4th.
If you're a Star Wars fanatic and want to celebrate, here's what's going on in Tampa Bay.

It is a Star Wars takeover at the children's museum. Experience out of the world "A Galaxy Far, Far Away" activities Thursday to Saturday.
The 501st Legion's costumed Star Wars characters will be present for photos on Saturday when the admission price is reduced to $5 in honor of Riverfest.

Friends of the library will make, play, show and tell stories from a galaxy far, far away. The program begins at 10:30 a.m.

The library will have a Star Wars Painting Class at 6:00 p.m. Participants will complete their own BB-8 masterpiece with step-by-step instructions. All supplies will be provided. The event is open for all ages.

John F. Germany Public Library
The downtown Tampa library is holding its party on Friday, May 5th for Revenge of the Fifth, diving into the world of origami to create paper sculptures for the Empire. For all ages starting at 4:00 p.m.

The force will be strong at Brew Bus Brewing on May 4th. Come to The Terminal and watch select Star Wars films on their projector and big screens. Wear your best Star Wars gear and your first beer is free. Special prizes will be given to the customers wearing the best costumes (as determined by our crack staff of sci-fi geeks).
The winners of the costume contest will be announced at 8:00 p.m. in the following categories: Best overall costume, best couple and most original. First place winners of each category will receive a $25 gift card to The Terminal which will be valid beginning May 5th.

Disney agreed to allow Painting with a Twist studios across the country the opportunity to have an ENCORE of the "Death Star" as inspired by the Disney movie, Star Wars: Rogue One. Adults and Kids ages 7+ are welcome for this special intergalactic experience
