Parents in need of entertainment for their kids while in quarantine have a special event to look forward to on Thursday night.
Ryan Seacrest will host the celeb-studded, hour-long "Disney Family Singalong" this Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC Action News, your local channel.
Christina Aguilera, John Stamos, Josh Gad, Kristin Chenoweth, Michael Bublé, Thomas Rhett, and Auliʻi Cravalho and are among those who will appear from their homes, singing classics from movies including "Beauty and the Beast," "The Little Mermaid," "Moana," and "Frozen."
And of course, an animated character will help those at home follow along with on-screen lyrics.
“If there’s something that we’ve all learned in the past few weeks, it’s to cherish every moment and the importance of connection, whether through laughter, stories or music," said ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke. "We hope that we can help create some new unforgettable moments in everyone’s home in a way that only the magic of Disney can."
The special will also include PSAs about Feeding America's quest to help those facing food insecurity amid the novel coronavirus pandemic. Approximately 37 million people are food insecure, including 11 million children and 5.5 million seniors, according to the organization. Due to this crisis, ABC joined up with Feeding America to launch Day of Hope, to highlight food banks and food pantry personnel working on the front lines, and to share food resources with all Americans who need it.
Disney is the parent company of ABC News and "Good Morning America."
