Man charged with stalking at Tampa Comic Con event

9 a.m. UPDATE | A Hillsborough County judge increased Terry Lee Repp's bond to $5,000 on a stalking charge following an arrest at Tampa Bay Comic Con Saturday.

Repp of Iowa was taken into custody by the Tampa Police Department.

TMZ reported Repp has a history of following movie actress Kate Beckinsale to public events across the country.

Beckinsale was a featured guest at Tampa Bay Comic Con at the Tampa Convention Center Saturday.

Tampa Police spokesman Eddy Durkin said Saturday Repp told officers he thought he might get arrested in Tampa.

ORIGINAL STORY | Man has been arrested for stalking an actress at Comic Con in Tampa. Terry Repp, 45, has a history of stalking the victim and came  to Tampa to continue the harassment.

In a previous incident in Salt Lake City in 2016, Repp made physical contact with the defendant and stated he would stab her.

Repp also traveled to Houston, TX in 2016 to a similar event to harass her. Repp was detained by Houston Police and trespassed from the event.

Repp was charged by Tampa Police with one count of  stalking.
