One lucky person could be an instant millionaire this Friday by winning the third largest Mega Millions lottery jackpot in history. The jackpot is also the seventh largest in the history of American lotteries.
The jackpot for the July 8, 2016 drawing is now an estimated $508 million after no tickets matched all six numbers drawn in Tuesday night's drawing. The cash value of the jackpot is $357 million.
The winning numbers in the July 5th drawing were 29, 46, 53, 64 and 73 with 10 as the Mega Ball.
Check your numbers! Seven winning tickets sold for Tuesday’s drawing matched five numbers and are worth one million dollars each. They tickets were sold in seven different states: California, Florida, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Texas.
The $508 million jackpot is the largest Mega Millions jackpot since December 17, 2013 when winning tickets sold in Georgia and California split a $648 million jackpot.
Lottery officials report the jackpot has rolled over thirty-four times since it was last won on March 8.
Each Mega Millions ticket costs one dollar to purchase. The deadline buy a ticket for the $415 million jackpot is 10 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 1.
