Pinellas detectives to host five fraud awareness workshops for residents

Detectives with the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office Economic Crimes Unit and Pinellas County Consumer Protection will host five workshops focusing on fraud awareness to discuss the most common scams circulating in Pinellas County. 

The workshops will be held at multiple locations across the county as part of fraud awareness week, scheduled from November 13 to November 17, 2017. 

Residents will be provided with tips on how to prevent becoming a victim. 

Raffles, refreshments and free shred collection will be offered at each workshop.
