UPDATE: St. Petersburg Police say they have made an arrest in the shooting death of Scott Franklin. We are awaiting more details on the person arrested and charges.

St. Pete Police are on the look out for a group of people who shot and killed a man early Saturday morning next to All Children’s Hospital.
Investigators said Scott Franklin, 41, was stopped at the intersection of 5th Ave. S and 6th St. S when a two or three vehicles pulled up to his vehicle while it was stopped. Witnesses at the scene said shots were fired and the vehicles sped off.
Investigators have not released a motive, but part of the crime was captured on surveillance video.
Franklin’s family describes him as the life of the party and a karate enthusiast.
