For British people living in the Tampa Bay area, news of the attack in has left them worried about those overseas.

At London Pride, a gift and food store located in Largo, the owners have been closely following news of the attack all day, where shots were fired outside of Portcullis House, the building that houses the UK parliament in London.

Lawrence Black, one of the owners of London Pride, proudly displays British Flags all over his store. News of this attack has him worried about those at home.

He said he’s been very emotional watching the news clips. At least three people died and 20 were injured when an attacker rammed a car into crowds of people before stabbing a police officer in the grounds of the UK Parliament.

“I have tears in my eyes,” Black said. “It really takes a lot to get me. I feel choked that this is now happening to innocent people.”

However, Black said he knows the British people are resilient and strong. He knows this first hand, as he was a member of British Law Enforcement in the 1960s and 1970s.

He is confident Britain will be able to pull through this.

Other British families visiting the store said they are devastated, calling this a “sad day” for Britain.
