A 40-year-old man was gunned down by an acquaintance after they argued Saturday night in Bradenton, officials said.

Roger Clinton died from his injuries at the scene of the shooting at 600 33rd Ave. Drive E. in Bradenton, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies later arrested Tarance Gordon, 36, on a charge of second degree murder.

Authorities said the two men argued, and Clinton left the area.

When he returned about 10 p.m., the suspect grabbed a shotgun and fired at Clinton, shooting him at least once, a Manatee County Sheriff's Office report said. Clinton was fatally wounded.

Gordon left the scene on foot.

The Manatee County Homicide Investigative Unit arrived on the scene, developed a probable cause for murder and issued an arrest warrant for Gordon's arrest.

Shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday Gordon was located and arrested without incident.
