Bomb squads makes beeping Easter eggs for visually impaired children

Local bomb squads are creating beeping Easter eggs for visually impaired children so they can enjoy Easter egg hunts too!

Members of the Tampa Bay Area Regional Bomb Squad and the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators (IABTI), including the Bureau of Fire and Arson Investigators (BFAI), FBI, ATF, Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and Tampa Police Department's bomb squads participated.

People without sight are often taught to use their other senses in order to orient themselves to their surroundings or to recognize people, places and objects.

The technicians delicately placed tiny beepers inside colorful Easter eggs in order to create an "audible" Easter egg hunt to benefit the Lighthouse of Pinellas.

One of these eggs on their own costs $20.However, all the eggs used for this project have been donated, free of charge.

The hunt is on March 10.
