Manatees stranded by low waters caused by Hurricane Irma rescued

Two manatees were saved after they were stranded by low waters caused by Hurricane Irma.

According to Marcelo Clavijo, who posted pictures and videos of the rescue to Facebook, the manatees were found in knee deep mud at the end of Whitfield in a bay in Florida. A handful of people helped dig the manatees out of the mud, roll them onto a tarp, and then drag them 100 yards back to the water.
